Center for Open Education in Tanzania from St. Petersburg University and TASACI

St. Petersburg University, with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, in July 2023 opened the Center for Open Education in Russian in Tanzania, in Dar es Salaam, on the basis of the NPO Tanzania save the community Initiatives (TASACI). Thanks to the agreement signed with our colleagues, we are official partners of this project.

Our organization helps Tanzanians in many matters and now we are pleased and proud of the new opportunity that St. Petersburg University organized. Thanks to this, all residents of Dar es Salaam have the opportunity to study the Russian language for free, get acquainted and learn about the culture of Russia, and receive information on how to obtain higher education in this country.

CLASS MANAGEMENT

The classes are taught by Irina Kataeva, a talented teacher and author of the best textbooks on the Russian language! At the center, we give all students a free textbook for lessons that Irina wrote. We will be glad to see you in our classes (there is still an opportunity to join new groups).

Based on the results of the classes, you will be able to master the Russian language to level A1, even pass the international TRFL exam completely free of charge, and receive a state certificate!

The center hosts interesting in-person events about Russian culture, do not miss the news. In addition, the most interesting information about the work of the center can be found on the website of colleagues from St. Petersburg University https://russianafrica.spbu.ru/en/education/centre-v-tanzanii/, don’t miss it!
